All wedding ceremonies are conducted in English.
All paperwork and the Marriage Certificate will be issued in English,
and this is fully recognised in the United Kingdom.
Two witnesses are required, but we will be
only too happy to be your witnesses should you wish to come to Cyprus
on your own.
A copy of the two witnesses Passports are required to complete the necessary
paperwork upon your arrival in Cyprus.
As soon as MedWeds receive acceptance
to co-ordinate your wedding it is important for you approximately three
months prior to your Wedding date to obtain the relevant following original
documents. Photocopies cannot be accepted.
Full Birth Certificate (the shorten version
is not acceptable)
Passport (10 year with at least 3 months following your return date to the U.K.)
If either or both divorced, Decree Absolute
If widowed, a Death Certificate and any
previous marriage certificates
If adopted,
an Adoption Certificate
If under 18 years
of age, a letter of consent from a parent or guardian*
If either or both parties have changed their name by deed poll, proof from a solicitor
is required*
For an Anglican Church wedding at least one
person must have a baptism certificate but for Catholic Church
weddings both parties must have a certificate.
Affidavit for UK Passport holders (one per
person) must be obtained from a Solicitor in the UK or please contact
MedWeds for further details.
A "Freedom to Marry Certificate" for Irish passports holders
(one per person) must be obtained from the Irish Embassy in England
or the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland, please ask MedWeds
for further details.

We recommend a minimum of a 14 night holiday is booked
In Cyprus ceremonies are generally not performed on Saturdays, Sundays or Public
Holidays, however, upon request Saturdays may be available at some venues
